Throughout my entire life I struggled with my weight. I would fear going to the doctor just to step on a scale, because I knew what the response would be: “you are overweight, you need to lose weight”. That sentence was so daunting and no matter how much I dieted and exercised, my ideal weight never seemed attainable. When Dr. Berger offered Wegovy to me, I was a bit hesitant because of the stigma surrounding weight loss medication. After careful consideration I had decided that nothing else was working so why not?
I started the medication in August 2023 and had zero side effects and it is now May 2024 and I can confidently say this medication has changed my life. I started the medication at 195 pounds and I am now down to 135. I can wear the clothes I want without the anxiety of clothes shopping and I can do daily activities without getting winded or needing to stop. As well as the medication, I continued to eat properly and exercise, and the medication really helped with controlling my appetite. Prior to the medication, I would constantly be either thinking about food or eating it. This medication helped me change my lifestyle and I feel so much more confident and not to mention HEALTHY!! I genuinely just feel better overall!!
